Excellent facilities both for the museum and the cafe. Super staff and home made scones etc. Great coffee all at a reasonable prices.
Brilliant no charge to go round the museum had a donation box...... The gentleman we met there was very helpful as we were leaving he told us about other places of interest to visit even gave us a map
Fantastic staff, couldn't be better. The museum is very interesting. Good choice of food and lots of places outside as well for little kids to explore. Definitely worth a visit.
Such a lovely place to visit! Not just a cafe but a museum too with a delightful shop. We received such a warm welcome and were seated by the fire before enjoying delicious soup and sandwiches. There was even venison casserole on the menu - we were certainly tempted! The drive to the Retreat is a real treat, stopping along the way for photos and we spotted lots of places to walk and some interesting wildlife. Definitely goes down as one of our favourite places in Scotland to visit. A real gem with a home from home feel to it. Thank you Glenesk Retreat, we will be back!
